Weather
Temperatures generally range from the mid-seventies in the winter to the mid-eighties in the summer. Annual rainfall averages only 45 inches, making it the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands, and the northeast trade winds are nearly constant, flagging only in September. Low humidity year-round.
Currency
The official currency is the EC dollar, but US dollars are commonly used. However, unless rates are posted in US dollars (as is the norm with accommodations), it usually works out better to pay in EC dollars. MasterCard, Visa and American Express are widely accepted, and ATMs are easy to find.
Electricity
Antigua’s electricity is largely 220V on 60 cycles, while some areas and hotels provide 110V on 60 cycles, or both. United States two-pin sockets are dominant, though some hotels may have three-pin sockets.
Time
Antigua & Barbuda Time Standard Time is 4 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time(GMT-4), and does not operate Daylight-Saving Time.
Languages
The official language of Antigua & Barbuda is English.
